Our Team
Yacana Viagens operates as a tourism agency based in Cusco Peru. The company focuses on tours across Peru with a theme drawn from Yacana a mythical llama figure that links sky and earth. This inspiration shapes their approach to cultural and adventure trips. They provide services in Portuguese targeting Brazilian travelers mainly but accommodate others. Established as Grupo Yacana EIRL with RUC 20610587837 in Peru and Viagens Yacana Ltda in Brazil.
At Yacama Viagems, our staff combines local roots, practical skills, and community ties. Born and raised where you’ll travel, we use direct knowledge and clear insight to plan every detail.
Local Expertise
Our guides, coordinators, cooks, and porters come from Aymara and Quechua backgrounds. We grew up in the Andes (approx. 4,000 m / 13,123 ft), the Sacred Valley (2,800 m / 9,186 ft), and the Amazon lowlands (approx. 200 m / 656 ft). That first-hand experience shapes tours that focus on real customs, terrain, and daily life.
Technical Training
Each team member holds certifications in high-altitude trekking, cultural interpretation, or wilderness first aid. We rely on standard procedures, checklists, and ongoing drills. Once a hiker needed a menu swap at camp—our cook handled it without missing a beat.
Language Abilities
Guides speak clear English and Spanish, and many add Quechua or Aymara. This mix lets us share precise histories, translate local slang, or simply chat over a roadside snack.
Community Focus
Yacama Viagems runs workshops on eco-tourism for remote villages, hires local families for lodging, and buys supplies directly from artisans. On one recent tour, we helped fund a water-filter installation at a mountain school.
Shared Purpose
Our aim is straightforward: deliver safe, reliable experiences. Whether leading a sunrise trek to Machu Picchu (2,430 m / 7,972 ft) or serving a home-style dinner in a village, we follow respect, honesty, punctuality, reciprocity, and sustainability.
Traveler Partnership
From your first inquiry to the final goodbye, we stay in touch with clear updates on weather, trail conditions, and group pace. We treat you as a guest at our own table, welcoming questions and adapting plans as needed. You’re part of our crew, not just a booking.
